End of Chemo Round 4

by Shannon on April 22, 2008

Adam and Jo headed back to Ft. Collins yesterday after spending a few days in the hospital.  The hospital stay was for the normal fever that seems to come a few days after each round of chemo.  Adam is doing o.k. but the chemo is definitely taking its toll on his body.  His counts remain low even though he’s had multiple red blood cell and platelet transfusions over the past week and a half.  The doctors say this isn’t unusual after the fourth round of chemo.

Adam will have many appointments to prepare for stem cell transplant over the next few weeks, but no more actual treatments until the end of May.  He is looking forward to the break and hoping that it will provide a chance to regain some energy!
